 Making Pots / Up Close in the Studio
with Neil Patterson & Sandi Pierantozzi
Saturday/Sunday March 27th & 28th,2010 / 10:00am-4:00pm
Cost: $150. Join Sandi and Neil in this two-day demo-only workshop at their studio in Philadelphia. Learn two approaches to making pots in the intimate setting of their studio. This workshop will focus on the incorporation of texture in both hand built and wheel thrown pots.  Traditional forms such as bowls, cups, jars, teapots and vases will be demonstrated.  Slab construction will be presented parallel to wheel thrown work, exposing participants to a wide range of techniques. Limited to 24 participants.

Pouring Pots / Up Close in the Studio

Join Sandi and Neil in this two-day demo-only workshop at their studio in Philadelphia. Learn two approaches to making pouring pots in the intimate setting of their studio. Neil will demonstrate wheel throwing, altering and assembling and Sandi will show how to make various pouring pots using soft slabs of clay. Teapots, pitchers, creamers, and other small pots that pour will be covered. Emphasis will be put on how to make a pot that is comfortable to hold while full, and that pours well.
