SUBMISSION DEADLINE: February 1, 2010 18 Hands Gallery is seeking entries for its 2010 Clay Across Texas: Austin, a juried exhibition that will run the month of April 2010. The show is part of an ongoing effort to highlight ceramic artists across the state of Texas; the exhibition is open to all clay artists in the Austin, Texas area (50 mile radius). Our juror will be Gwynne Rukenbrod, Curator of Fine Craft for the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, a position she has held since February of 2008. Gwynne has over ten years of experience in the arts, first serving as Director for several national arts organizations, and then as a curator. Gwynne herself is a glass artist, trained in Thailand and the US.
All artwork must be original and produced within the last 18 months. Clay must be the primary medium of each piece. Entry fee is $25.00, payable to 18 Hands Gallery. A maximum of 5 works per artist may be presented.
