FUNERIA- leading the contemporary funerary art genre since 2001 and featured prominently in major media worldwide announces a call for entry for 5th Biennial International Ashes to Art. Open to artists and design teams worldwide working in all sculptural media, long-lasting or ephemeral. Presented by arts agency October 23-December 18, 2010 at Art Honors Life in Sonoma County, CA and through October 2011 online. Jurors will select from digital entries that show new, original, evocative, beautifully crafted objects that are intended to contain all, or a portion, of an individual’s cremated remains, or that can otherwise be used to celebrate a unique life. Best of Show cash award, additional cash and non-cash prizes. Registered visitors to the exhibition site will choose a People’s Choice Award winner.
