by Vicki Hardin on June 12, 2011

Anderson Ranch, Snowmass Village, Colorado
Aug 22, 2011 – Sep 02, 2011

thumb_createUsing the wheel as a springboard for ideas of form and shape, students experiment with altering the round form, handbuilding and other methods of construction. Christa’s daily demonstrations include throwing component parts, cutting and reassembling forms off the original axis, stacking and nesting pieces, and tape and wax resist glazing. We explore compositions of thrown and hand built parts, seeing these elements as building blocks for form and shape, and realizing artistic curiosities.
