Fee – $175

In this two-day workshop, Kevin Snipes will lead participants in an exploration of surface decoration. He will concentrate on the forming methods and techniques used to produce intricate layered surfaces; mishima, sgraffito, underglaze and slip decoration. Snipes received his BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art and his MFA from the University of Florida in Gainesville. He’s participated in several artist residency programs, including the Clay Studio in Philadelphia and Watershed Center for Ceramic Arts in New Castle, Maine. Snipes was a visiting artist at Louisiana State University and completed a Taunt Fellowship from the Archie Bray Foundation in 2008.
