Call for Entries: Patricia Wier Mynka Memorial Art Exhibit

Patricia Wier Mynka (1935-2010) was a 1957 graduate of Blackburn. She pursued an avocation as a weaver of decorative textiles all of her life, and was active in the textile art groups of Sacramento California for 40 plus years.  She also collected art pottery. This exhibit is dedicated to encouraging all fields of artistic work whether as a profession or an avocation. For this exhibition, we are seeking fiber based and ceramic based pieces that are literally functional or based on the concepts of function.

Eligibility

Artists living in the following states are eligible to submit work: Illinois, Iowa, Missouri and Kentucky.

Calendar

• All entries must be received through e-mail by August 22, 2011
• Notification of accepted or rejected work will be made by August 26, 2011
• Works must be at gallery by September 6, 2011
• Dates of exhibition are tentatively scheduled for September 9 to October 7, 2011
