So today, I was surfing around the net to discover onlineceramics.com and discovered that Geoffrey Swindell has pots available through this online gallery. For those of you who do not know, Geoffrey Swindell is an internationally known potter from England who has been working in clay since the 1960. I first discovered his work my first semester and would often revisit the many images that were being reflected in the ceramics magazines at that time.  I am completely in love with this first pot on this post! Each of his works are made of porcelain that is thrown and then significantly turned. The pots are completed with lustres or sponged Vanadium Oxide treatments. OnlineCeramics.com gives incredible detailed information about the extensive process he goes through to finish these small delicate pieces. For those of you who don’t know…my birthday is Jan. 31!
